Leaf Capture Version 11
The brand new Leaf Capture 11 software is an image capture and processing workflow ion that will not only allow you to get more out of your images, but will also improve your productivity.
It now has an all-new user interface, with large, easy-to-read text, and intuitive buttons and icons that have been specially designed for modern, wide high-resolution monitors. The new interface is available in three looks: Modern Dark, Modern Gray and Modern Light.
The Leaf Capture 11 Rundown:
Loupe and Detail Window Tool
You can quickly check focus while shooting your images by using Leaf Capture's Loupe Tool, viewing an area of the image or any thumbnail at a scale of 100%. The Detail window remains permanently open in 100% view, centering on a spot while shooting so it is easy to look at the same area in succeeding shots.
Grid and Layout Overlays
A true time-saver, this tool allows easy importation of digital files that are sent over from art directors and displayed on the monitor, ready to be used to set up the final composition. Also, drawings and sketches are easily turned into transparent digital files by simply capturing an image of them. You can show or hide a layout overlay over an image or the Live View display.
Colour Temperature Slider

Leaf WiView
Leaf WiView provides you with Bluetooth® connectivity between your digital camera back and an HP® iPAQ® Pocket PC. Using the wireless Leaf WiView application, you or your assistant can view and work with images on an iPAQ Pocket PC as you shoot.
Interactive Display During Adjust
While moving sliders in the Adjust panel, the image dynamically reflects the changes in the Preview area and other image windows.
Auto-Save Flags
In this version, the flags you assign to images are auto-saved. Note: Images from previous versions of the Leaf Capture software can support this feature once they are re-saved manually in Leaf Capture version 11.
Separate Camera and Image Settings
Camera settings have been separated from image settings in this version. The camera settings are accessed via a button in the Shoot panel toolbar; the image settings are accessed from the Shoot panel itself.
Leaf Capture Preferences
The Preferences option in the Leaf Capture menu is now available. Choose your favourite user interface look and change the selected language.
Feature Highlight: Live View
Leaf Capture's Live View allows you to see, in real-time, a video-like image in Leaf Captures Live View display. With the fastest refresh rate, you will see the live image quickly, enabling you to focus, check depth of field, composition, and layout before you take a single shot.
Core Attributes:
-
C o m p o s i t i o n
- Viewfinder: Some large format cameras do not include a camera viewfinder, meaning video view is ideal for those who don't want to observe the image through the cameras ground glass or viewfinder.
Layout: The Digital Layout function allows you to create a composition according to a predefined layout of a previous shoot or from a custom editor.
-
F o c u s i n g
- Digital Focus: It is often inconvenient to place and remove the viewfinder screen on view cameras. With Video View software, focusing directly on the sensor enables a high degree of precision with relative ease.
Accuracy: It eradicates a focusing accuracy issue that comes with sliding and moving digital backs. A grid is also provided for a precise shot, helping your productivity (perfect for busy pack-shot studios). - Depth of Field: You can also check the depth of field before capturing an image.
